Pricing transparency

Now that we know TT has security problems with its online version, the CD delivered product prices should be simplfied and prices should be reduced. I've been using TT for over 12 years and for the first time next year I will do some shopping for CD delivered software.
What's great about it: Ability to skip around and pick interview as needed has improved
What's not so great: CD delivered products pricing should not be so high and confucing

Easy to follow menus helped to get through the exercise. Only issue was with Schedule D worksheet - for investment-types over 50 lines long, only 50 lines would display for review and editing, though all totals were retained and details did print later. On printouts of Forms 8949, all investments of a letter-type were grouped together, and not sub-totaled by investment account, making review more difficult. Otherwise, everything else went very well. Good job, as usual!

Turbo Tax take some of the pain out of Taxes

Another year with Turbo Tax, taxes done in under an hour, what is better than that?
What's great about it: Easy to use, everything transfers from last year.
What's not so great: No issues

I loaded the deluxe version and realized it didn't have schedule D so I bought the premier version. I loaded that but when I opened the tax it was the deluxe version. I contacted turbotax and a very nice girl named Gina got the whole thing straightened out. After that it was a breeze to finish my taxes.
What's great about it: So easy to follow you should call it, TAXES FOR DUMMIES
What's not so great: Had a problem loading it

Had the deluxe could'nt go further on it then couldn't download the Premier Had to go out and buy it. Now I'm having trouble with the NY State Tax. I downloaded it at least it says I did but they keep telling me to download and I can't get any further.
What's great about it: Got through it
What's not so great: trouble with downloading free Premier had to buy it. trouble with NY State downloading

I work outside of my home state, so I have to file two state returns. I don't think I should be charged for buying the turbo tax plus pay to file the two states-very expensive!
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: shouldn't charge for state returns

A wonderful software. The only problem I got is that every time the software didn't come back to the page where I stopped after closing the software, which could be very confusing to the software itself because it would count as I finished all the input.
