Hooked on Turbo Tax for Life!

I have used Turbo Tax for several years -- actually I think I have used it since the first year it was available. A couple of years ago my husband bought the H&R Block program. I took one look at it and sent him back to the store to exchange it for Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: easy to use, accurate,
What's not so great: Had problems connecting to e-file

TTax 2014. Prettier, yes. Easier, maybe.

I've used TTax for years. With the caveat that, due to retirement, my taxes are simpler now than they have been in the past, TTax seems to be more intuitive than before.
What's great about it: Looks good. Jump to categories easy to use. Import from financial institutions are easy.
What's not so great: Have to hunt for some data imported from financial institutions. In my case, it was there.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Not my favorite version of Turbotax

Would not change securities from A to D or E or vice versa.. Had to delete individual sales info and re enter into the proper category on the federal info entry forms.
Will not permit the deletion of blank income/with holding forms in the state (MS) tax return part of the program. Keeps asking for info to be filled out on blank forms that were not used in the federal program, but were downloaded to the state program. TurboTax 2013 had this same problem, and it has not been corrected. Makes it impossible to run an audit of your completed tax forms for submission if you have the desire to file electronically. Kept telling me that I had 35 errors, which were 3 pages, four forms to the page with no information on them. Printed for manual filing and deleted the un necessary pages.
What's great about it: Still very helpful with filling out required information for filing.
What's not so great: Has a flaw in entering securities sales and with transfering withholding income to state.

Worked Great

I used turbo tax again after many years and was as happy as always. Its a easy way to get taxes done. I was concerned after hearing things online but everything worked great for me.
What's great about it: Easy to file as always
What's not so great: I'm not a tax expert and the review questions at the end were a bit tricky to figure out

go back to the 2013 pricing of the CD version which the deluxe version had many of the earlier forms. need to do more than one tax return. Otherwise I may look for other software
What's great about it: able to access everything I need
What's not so great: do not want to pay for individual forms

I tried Hand R Block but then went back to turbo tax as bit is much better
What's great about it: easy Import from brokeridge services,info pulled from previous returns
What's not so great: Hassle about the change in Turbo tax Deluxe
