Your Tax Prep Resource

I do several returns each year (relatives, friends) and the program handles everything from simplest to most complex.
What's great about it: Ease of use. Completeness
What's not so great: A little tedious to go through everything

Turbo Tax is a straight forward and up date format for filing taxes of any kind, wether you owe hundreds or thousands it is very USER FRIENDLY.
What's great about it: User friendly
What's not so great: when errors are noted it would be nice to be able to flip to the actual error and correct it at the location.

Worked good, had some issues but not enough that we couldn't complete the taxes.
What's great about it: liked the prompting
What's not so great: Very hard going back to an area after you had finished. Was looking for some state tax info on the fed side,never got it

Correction for Deduction and Credit Summary Table

The 2014 column does not have enough room for the total when it was 6 digits. The total went to the second line. Best to shift columns to the left to allow for 6 digit totals.

Filing Problem

Logging into TurboTax, I got a message to check for updates. I clicked on the link to do this and it just sat there for quite some time. Logged out and got back in and proceeded to finalize my return. When I completed it, I tried to E-file. Got the box message that I had to get the most current updates before I could E-file. Clicked on the link to do that and again a prolonged wait. Did this several times. Finally I got out of TurboTax completely. Waited a while and again got the update requirement message. Clicked on the link to do this and waited quite a while for it to actually accomplish the update. After that, things went quite well and I finally was able to E-file. It seemed that either the updater was not working correctly or if the update did occur, that did not register and thus led to repeated cycles of trying to get it to work.
What's great about it: Have used Turbotax for serveral years with absolutely no problems.
What's not so great: Had a problem with updating which delayed filing.

Not up to par

I have used TurboTax for many years, and have had great results. However, this year's filing for 2014, has been a chore. There was no help with trying to fix the problem of e-file being rejected by both the Federal and State. Tried numerous time to resolve, and now I have to file by mail.... Not a good experience.
What's great about it: Easy program to use
What's not so great: Not able to e-file because of error no help with trying to fix.
