I have used TurboTax for years and what a mess this year turned out to be. Nothing but troubles from start to finish and started with not recognizing my past years returns, to not having the forms for my dealing with stocks actions, then it was a very cumbersome system to us.
Think I will be changing to H & R for the future.

Overall an excellent product.

It was easier this year in some ways, there are more options and it is simple to go back and make corrections.
What's great about it: It covered the ground in a stepwise fashion and was very clear to understand.
What's not so great: None really

I have used Turbo for several years and never had to purchase Premier before to enter the same info. There are so many useless ??s and time wasted.
I DO NOT PLAN TO USE TURBO AGAIN.

When entering data the program returns you to the top and you have to page down thru to enter the next category of income or deductions.
What's great about it: Easy & quick to use
What's not so great: returns to top of category instead of continuing on thru

Used Turbo Tax for years. Customer support always incredible. Your company is also more reliable, quicker, and not as expensive as the CPA I used in the distant past.
What's great about it: 2014 Great As Usual
What's not so great: None - Keep It Great & Simple

New York State return should not list income from New York Tax free accounts (such as Lord Abbett new york tax free inc or Franklin new york tax free income fund) but does lists them on line 20 (of New York form IT-201). Wiill see if any problems occur by subtracting them on line 31
