Quick & Relatively Painless

I have used TurboTax for several years now; overall it has been well worth it and a great time saver.
The only negative I have is from several years ago, when I switched jobs mid-year and had two W-2s. I ended up overwithholding to my 401k for the year, and I had to manually make an adjustment for that. TurboTax had no computation to compare my input to the IRS limit. I have not had this problem since then; maybe TurboTax has fixed this.
What's great about it: Carried over info from past years; easy menus
What's not so great: A little slow to load sometimes; had to "restart" once.

Easy to work through

Overall, I enjoyed using this program. This is only the second time I am filing taxes for myself. I'm nervous about it whenever tax season comes but I know with turbo tax (and my mom) I can do it easily.
What's great about it: The program explains everything
What's not so great: Sometimes the explanations are hard to understand

I used TurboTax for 18 years now and cannot find any reason not continuing to do so.

What's great about it: ease of doing my returns
What's not so great: not have some forms initially available in the Deluxe edition
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax is a very user friendly tax filing tool and the carry over of personal and tax information from year to year really speeds up the tax calculation and filing process.

Clear & Easy EXCEPT ...

Having to upgrade from Deluxe to Premier in the middle to enter 1099B info was a hassle. Looked like it would be straightforward online, but didn't work. Had to call support. He was helpful and I had my upgrade within a few minutes, but that was after waiting for 20-30 on hold.
It wasn't made clear (to these old eyes, at least) on the display where I bought TurboTax that Deluxe was no longer adequate for my purposes (i.e., including sales of stocks), as it has always been in the past.
What's great about it: Mostly clear instructions & easy to enter data
What's not so great: Deluxe doesn't have 1099-B functionality as in the past
Pros: I bought or sold investments
