Good Work!

I have used TT for many years now and will continue to do so in the future. My complaint is that throughout the return review, the forms are referenced as opposed to returning to just the questioning. I don't know if there's a way to resolve having to show the form lines vs. just questioning, but there may not.
What's great about it: Strait Forward
What's not so great: The Return Review is Confusing

2014 In The Can

Turbo Tax Deluxe user for 10+ years, like the way it carries forward from prior return, but am concerned about not being able to have Schedule D as part of the Deluxe version. I do have capital gains to report each year because of mutual fund distributions, but I don't need the other extras in the Premier version, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing next year if Schedule D can't be filed with Deluxe. Seems silly to force an upgrade in order to get what I've had for years with Deluxe.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and complete
What's not so great: Schedule D Issue - worked this year, next Year?

Just finished!

Each year, I buy a new year's Turbo Tax. I suppose I wouldn't be doing that if I didn't find it helpful. I have to remind myself that previous paper and pencil filings weren't all that easy either- and this is cheaper than going to an income tax service... and also much easier. Can't compare it to other computerized programs, but this one seems to work OK.
What's great about it: Fifth year- last year's numbers already loaded
What's not so great: A few new things- took a bit of figuring it out to make it work, and the explanations were not available
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Finally Finished!

The software was running perfectly and I was cruising through my taxes. When I went to file, I was told there was an error. A 1099-Misc rental income vs royalty income issue. After struggling with it for over an hour, I decided to call TurboTax. The associate that spoke with me was awesome! She spent around 45 minutes working with me to solve the problem. In the end, my return was error free and sent on it way.
What's great about it: Very helpful guides and easy to navigate
What's not so great: Had issues with an error loop

The good and the bad
on March 12, 2015

Had to work and work to get this filed. Finally got the Federal filed and then sent Connecticut by mail.
This took an incredible amount of time and upset.
I have been reading about the Connecticut problems so assume that it relates to this.
What's great about it: The Federal Return was good as usual
What's not so great: Transmitting the files were terrible because of Connecticut

Great Experience

It is a very good program and after the first time you use it and understand how it is laid out, the second time will almost be a breeze. like that my information is carried over from year to year. I will be using it again next year.
What's great about it: Easy as to how quick I caught on how to manuver through the catergories.
What's not so great: I had a problem at first to find where I could change a wronge entry on my State Tax withholdings.

I had to do it twice, as Turbotax lost all the information I had entered and didn't tell me until the very end.
What's great about it: Done in 30 minutes
What's not so great: Gets complicated without help in many areas

No refund this year, unusual atypical return

Lots of news information on Intuit security issues. I hope you will align my return w/ an email address as I greatly fear becoming the victim of identity theft.
Troublesome part is when saving the file then coming back to it, one must restart the appropriate tax section instead of beginning where you left off. This is problematic and takes time, would be nice if one could continue from the point where they left off.
Otherwise, TurboTax Deluxe is pretty easy to use and I hope accurately calculates the least amount of taxes I must pay.
Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
What's great about it: Logical approach to tax prep & calcs
What's not so great: When returning, could not pick up where I left off
