Great Program

Have been a very happy user from many many years. Only disappointment was I had to upgrade to premier edition to do my signal entry capital loss this year.

Encountered issues that were resolved

I was disappointed that there was no way to import my husband's 2013 TT info from his Married Separate files since we both decided to file jointly this year. Also seems like there should have been better QA of the software to eliminate various issues with the import of ItsDeductible entries as well as state tax software not downloading. Started early so that was key to not getting frustrated. The good news is that if you can follow directions and problem solve on your own, the process is well worth the effort. All the TT staff that I dealt with were well-trained and patient and communicated very well. Still good value for the money and we plan to use TT next year too.
What's great about it: Very easy to install and upgrade, I like the carryover of previous year info
What's not so great: Changing filing from Married Separate to Married Joint not intuitive, ItsDeductible import, state tax download

This was so easy this year. I would recommend TT to any one capable of operating a computer be it desk top or whatever.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: none

Correction to 2014 Deluxe Edition package

Initially I was dissatisfied with my purchase of Turbotax 2014 when I discovered that the capital tax Schedule D was not included in this year's Deluxe Edition as it had previously always been. It was much appreciated that you corrected that change to the 2014 Deluxe Edition. Other than that I am very satisfied with the improvements and changes that are made each year.

So Easy!

I was nervous last year when preparing my own taxes for the first time; it was so easy, that I have been a vocal champion of this product/process and this year was just as easy!

Worse Experience

If I remember (in the Deluxe Version) last year I could get a copy of the states return for my records separate from my Federal. I spent a great deal of time with one of your techs trying to find out why I was not getting it (by the way he was great). It turns out that it is automatically combined with the Federal. Since I copy them to PDF and print later, I did not know that they had been created when I asked for the FED for my record. It took well over an hour on the phone for this problem to be resolved. You should have given a clear indication of how this was done.
What's great about it: I don't have to do all the calculations & Makes gathering of Info easy.
What's not so great: I had more problems this year than I ever had before. I had to be upgrade from delux to premier .

2014 Taxes

I have used Turbo-Tax for as long as I can remember. It is easy and we needed to upgrade to the business for our stock sales, but far cheaper than giving all of my documents to a CPA to run through. I understood the basis information already.
What's great about it: Very easy to walk through, I double checked everything by keeping my documents in a plastic multiple section folder
What's not so great: Not really much I can think of.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
