Good Product need some better support

What's great about it: for the most part easy to use
What's not so great: some areas leave questions unanswered

Good and Not So Good

Doing the taxes was fairly easy and straight forward just as in previous years. However, Turbo Tax could not find last year's tax return (though the product and return are on my computer) so I had to input everything. Also, Calif state adjustments to deductions had an error and there was no way to figure out what it was (very weird error message) so I guessed and somehow got past the errors on the review step.
What's great about it: Excellent navigation covers everything
What's not so great: No import of last year. Confusing on state adjustments to federal
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy as Pie

its easy to do taxes even for people with mental handicaps. I like that I can enter data as I get it without worry about the final results. Can start and stop as often and take all the time I need to finish. I am confident that as I progress with the program it double checks me and at the end reviews all entries and shows me errors to correct
What's great about it: as easy to complete without sweat. Like that I can start and stop
What's not so great: Nada, Nothing, garnichts

Except for the lack of access to "sell of timber" under 1099-S options, which required me to call for assistance (which I had to google to find the number to call as I couldn't find one using the turbotax program) the program was simple and straight forward.
What's great about it: simple, direct
What's not so great: no phone # to contact for assistance; had to google it. no accomodation for the sell of timber 1099-s

Tough year for Turbo Tax

Had more difficulty with TT this year. Deluxe originally did not cover my tax situation although it did in prior year.
The data did not transfer over well from last year. Who knows what happened.

Next year I will take a new look at whether I use TT, I have used it for at least 15 years but will have to take a new look depending on how TT does.
What's great about it: Finally got the result
What's not so great: Had to phone for upgrade and did not transfer data from last year
