Some surprises (bad) for Tax year 2014

Tax filing is not my favorite past time. This year, halfway through, I discovered that the Deluxe version (which I order on automatic renewal) would not handle my investment income. I had to upgrade to Premium in the middle of things. Turbotax did not charge for this, presumably because they had not thought through the implications when they made the change. Very annoying. We'll see what happens next year.
What's great about it: Reasonably easy to use
What's not so great: Deluxe did not handle investment income this year.

Great advisers

This is an excellent product. Tax year 2014 seemed more improved and every time I called the person on the other end was extremely knowledgeable and we felt totally confident in completing our return. Been using the product since tax 2010 and every year it appears you have been improving your product and we have been learning more each year on how to use your product and file our returns. Great job to all of you.
What's great about it: Everytime I needed to call person helped me through each situation with confidence
What's not so great: Sometimes I would not understand the forms I was going through but once I contacted Turbo Tax they helped

Don't mess with success. You have a loyal base, however, will lose my business and others if you (Intuit) continue to remove important documents from the program and require upgrading to a higher priced program. I have often wondered about the price scheme. Through various other companies they have offered a reduce rate for the same product I get direct from your web site, however, I've never bother to change -BUT I may have consider it.
What's great about it: long time customer - easy to transfer previous years data
What's not so great: lack of schedule C in Deluxe version. Personally required

We have been paying a professional for the past few years due to being afraid of making mistakes on the investment reporting. This was so easy, step by step help, even importing from our broker. Can't believe we didn't do this before!!!
What's great about it: Step by step explanation.
What's not so great: Only good for one year.

I keep getting kicked back to forms I did not understand or see the relevance of - Canadian Retirement System ??? Schedule E
What's great about it: quick and accurate
What's not so great: Conflates pensions with IRA 403b wihdrawals - confusing
Pros: I bought or sold investments
