The ability to import previous tax year info is very helpful and safes a lot of time.

Just one glitch

Great product - have use it for years...was a little frustrating that I had to dig around to figure out how to re-enter the amortization of loan points that didn't transfer over from the prior year, so please look into that glitch...other than that, completely satisfied!
What's great about it: As always, easy to use
What's not so great: Amortization data didn't transfer from prior year

Get's easier every year!

I have been a user of Turbo Tax for over 9 years and it
gets better each year even though taxes get more complicated each year. The folks (and it is real live people that make this
product work) at turbo tax do a great job in keeping up with
all the confusing and complicated tax rules and laws.
THANK YOU TURBO TAX FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR
AVERAGE FOLKS LIKE ME TO DO MY OWN TAXES.. And the
icing in the cake is they get all the money they can back for you.

You have to keep paying, and paying, and paying

I thought that a free state return was included in the software. Turns out I had to pay to download the forms for my state. And then Turbotax charges you again to e-file the state form. None of this is disclosed on the package.
What's great about it: Better than trying to do your returns without software
What's not so great: Have to pay extra to download state forms and then another extra to e-file state forms

i didn't realize that I needed the Primier version to enter trade info. and this caused some delay.
What's great about it: MOST INFORMATION ENTERED WITHOUT A PROBLEM

Turbo Tax review

i have used turbo tax for many years. This year I had a recurring problem with reporting three capital gains. Turbo tax insisting on subtracting fees and commissions from my gross sale proceeds and instead of getting a net proceeds answer it kept putting the sale price in that space. I tried different ways to change the outcome and finally had to go into the worksheets and change the numbers

Covers any and all of the common situations and a lot of the uncommon ones. Forget making errors. Great review process when done.
