Quick, Easy and Accurate

calculating basis for stocks was a bit of a challenge
What's great about it: easy to download data from my financial institutions
What's not so great: Stocks were a little tricky
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The carryover information for the first time home buyer credit and repayments hasn't worked since 2009, so there's a >3000 repayment this year.
What's great about it: usually works
What's not so great: glitch this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

I had a little trouble after downloading to INSTALL on my computer. LDunno why and don't remember the hangup
What's great about it: Better than earlier editions. Import from Vanguard excellent

Easy to use

used deluxe version in the past and was able to use for brokerage info. had to use premier this year and I guess in the future for brokerage. didn't need the extra expense in the future.

Great Tax Software

This was my first year using TurboTax. I had always taken my documents to a CPA to have my returns prepared, but the cost was becoming a burden since I'm on a fixed income. I was a little hesitant about doing my own taxes since my returns are a bit complicated, but the TurboTax instructions were easy to understand and I finished my return in two hours! Most of that time was spent hunting for documents, so my guess is I could have completed the entire activity in about 30 minutes. I will definitely use TurboTax next year!
What's great about it: Easy to use, good instructions.

Overall a good experience. It was easy to skip steps when I did not have all of the information handy and come back and add it later. It would have been frustrating if it would not let me continue until I had everything ready. I don't like that they charge extra for state efile and more if fees are deducted from tax return.
What's great about it: guides you through the steps quickly and intuitively
What's not so great: I had to go to the site to update manually, downloading a file. I could not update using the turbotax program

Good program. While I don't know 'how' but feel the interview format/questions could be improved.
What's great about it: Ability to switch between easy interview and actual tax forms
What's not so great: Difficult to 'go back' to edit from easy interview
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I really like the product. It is fast and guides you through the forms, however, I do find it to be expensive
