Nervous About the E-File

Struggled quite a bit with entering a 1099-R IRA. I think it would have been really helpful when the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is checked if there were more detailed descriptions of the source of the distribution. There is a huge negative effect on the state return if the incorrect source is chosen.
What's great about it: ability to import financial/investment documents
What's not so great: had duplicate entries in 1099-INT and 1099-DIV; not sure if user error or tool error

Consistent experience year over year

This year was the first year that all kinds of rebates and other software deals were advertised heavily with the tax software. The product worked as expected.
What's great about it: The quick way that it brings critical information into the return from previous year return is extremely helpful.
What's not so great: Price is slightly higher than HR Block.

Overall, very easy to use and very thorough. My one complaint is that I cannot seem to delete the auto carryover of a K-1 on in investment that was sold in 2008. Also, I may have missed the prompt but I did not see a place for input on estimated income for 2015.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and very thorough
What's not so great: K-1 carries over from previous years
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Lots of Hard Work

Reported the hole in the program by phone. I had to omit 2 1099-Rs otherwise ACCORDING TO TURBOTAX I would have had to pay $563,000.00 instead of getting the refund I was actually due.
Also, when revisiting a section, ("updating",) several of the individual questions that were asked during the first pass thru the section never appeared again, making it quite difficult to change an answer to the more correct answer to see if it made any difference. Instead, a whole new tax form needed to be done,

What's great about it: all the calculations were done for me

Better every year!

Purchased Premier to do Partnership Return. Bought Deluxe to do Individual Return and had to upgrade to Premier for Form K-1. Yes upgrade was free, but would have saved money to start had I known differences. Bummer!

system bug - uninstall of 2014 deluxe cd

1) an uninstall of turbotax deluxe 2014 does not delete this folder:
program files/turbotax/deluxe 2014
2) a subsequent new install of premier 2014 was faulty in that these folders ili_14 and wii_14 should have been in:
program files/turbotax/premier 2014 /forms,
but instead were in:
program files/turbotax/deluxe 2014 /forms
What's not so great: this bug adversely affects startup of state tax prep.
