Simplified Everything

I have several sources of income: brokerages, banks, pensions, etc. TT makes it easy and ainless
What's great about it: Several Brokerages and Banks. A horror without TT
What's not so great: A minor issue with the State Return

Tax Preparation Simplified

Turbo-Tax takes the guess work out of tax preparation. You collect and assemble the data, then follow the Step-by-Step system to fill-in your tax forms. The data is automatically placed on the correct form. You can easily switch from the questionnaire to the appropriate IRS Tax Form to confirm that the data is incorporated correctly. The program gives you instant feedback on the impact your data input had on your overall tax bill - whether it resulted in an amount due or a refund.
What's great about it: Love the Step-by-Step method. Makes tax preparation a fill-in-the -blanks exercise.

Fantastic--great enhancements for 2014 tax year

This is the 5th year I've used TurboTax. It's only gotten better. I loved the new enhancement this year (at least I think it's new)--being able to "flag" areas that I have questions about or need to re-review. Big time saver!
I am new to "investments" so needed some help from a friend to get it "right" the first time. Now it's a breeze. I love the way that TurboTax imports last year's basics and walks you through changes.
I think it's an excellent Value!
What's great about it: Step by step process. Good explanations & references
What's not so great: You need to know the basics about forms you need to get correct version

Why the Upgrade

I don't under stand why I needed to upgrade from deluxe to premier to enter income from stock. I've never needed to the last 3 years, why did I need to sit on the phone (the automatic update doesn't work) for 20 min. waiting for someone to push the upgrade through.
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: had to upgrade to complete

I WAS NOT ABLE TO LOCATE THE PREVIOUS YEARS FILE, UNTIL I HAD REBUILT AND WAS SAVING THIS YEARS. DID NOT LIKE HAVING TO PAY TO UPGRADE TO PREMIER FOR WHAT I WAS ABLE TO DO ON DELUXE LAST YEAR.
What's great about it: QUALITY SOFTWARE THAT IS USER FRIENDLY
What's not so great: NEEDED UPGRADE TO PREMIER TO DO WHAT DELUXE DID LAST YEAR

I did not like the game you played with pricing and features this year and will probably look for another application next year after using turbotax for the last 20 years. Not cool. Pricing is also excessive.

Have used this product for many, many years including the electronic filing feature; no problems, no glitches! Enter current info for tax year with a guided step by step prompt. Or, if you're an expert and prefer to "do it yourself" that option is available also. Used Turbo Tax software while in business and continue to do so in retirement. Highly recommend Turbo Tax software for any user level or need.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step prompts.
What's not so great: None
