Having used Turbotax for ten years, I am disappointed with the problems of this year.
What's great about it: Okay as is.
What's not so great: Disappointed with the omission

What's not so great: Very confusing on which one to use this year. The expensive Corp version should have had personal/business attached

Some explanations of information is written as though lawyers are the primary users of the information. More straightforward answers would be more helpful. Often after reading the information several times the there was still a question of whether it was interpreted correctly.
What's great about it: Complete review of tax possibilities. Organized method of approach
What's not so great: Some answers to questions not readily discernable

Intuit Did The Right Thing

TurboTax remains relatively easy to use, fosters e-filing Federal taxes, and allows saving return as .pdf file. Very nice. However, requiring an upgrade to Premier edition to include sale of stock is not good -- although Intuit did the right thing by not charging for this upgrade. Some interface elements don't scale well, and the behavioral design forcing back and forth gestures to select items and click OK buttons is very poor and needs to be re-worked. My biggest gripe is being charged to e-file a state return. This is nonsense ... IMHO one shouldn't be charged to pay one's taxes ... particularly if e-filing improves accuracy and compliance, and is more enviro-friendly.
What's great about it: Relative ease of use, e-filing, save as .pdf, easy to pick up where you left off
What's not so great: Some forms don't scale well, inconsistent interface, required to upgrade to Premier, charged to e-file state return

What's not so great: asked just before e-filing what address was for a 1099-R payer; the address was clearly on the 1099-R form when I looked
