Made a dreaded task VERY easy!

TurboTax continues to be my choice for tax preparation. My father was a CPA who always used TT for his personal and professional filings. I'm always impressed with their thoroughness and ease of use.
What's great about it: Clear instructions and questions with lots of help and explanations
What's not so great: Taxes, taxes, taxes

I had a premier turbo tax,which was supposed to entitle me to free state filing.when i got to that part it tried to charge me,so i just filed by mail.not happy.

Schedules

I am disappointed that I had to upgrade to get schedules that were previously available in Deluxe. You stated reasons why, but as a consumer it stinks. I have been a long time user of Turbotax, but next year ??

Turbo Tax 2014

Overall our experience with Turbo Tax is usually good. We did have to upgrade from Deluxe to Premier because of Capitol Gains. However the upgrade was free so lightened the task. Every effort to keep Turbo Tax as simple as possible would be appreciated. Thank you, "Jack" John T. Brown
What's great about it: Overall it worked well for us.
What's not so great: The only difficult part was having to upgrade from Deluxe to Premier. However, upgrade was free.

donation lookups work great; easy to e-file, overall simple to use
What's great about it: intuitive, easy to use
What's not so great: had to upgrade to 'premier', but it did so seamlessly

Very clear and helpful instructions. Always seems properly updated. I very much like that you can easily toggle back and forth between the hand holding interview and the forms themselves. You can manually adjust something if necessary.
I can't honestly say it is ever fun doing the taxes, but Turbotax makes it as un-painful as possible!

What's great about it: Clear, precise, comprehensive.
What's not so great: Have to pay, but you know, every company has to earn a living!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

We have used Turbo Tax for several years. The program is easy to follow and asks the question to make sure all information is provided. We feel very confident using this program.
