2014 Tax Return Review

Your software appears to be very up to date with current tax law. This helped me tremendously. I don't think that I could have filed my 2014 tax return without this software package.
What's great about it: Windows Based, easy to use
What's not so great: No major at this time
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Simple and thorough

Great software. Have used it for years. Keeps getting easier and easier to use. The one year I didn't use TurboTax, I ended up paying a fortune for about the same level of service. I actually find it easier to use TurboTax than have my accountant do it because I don't have to gather up all of the forms - I can just round them up as I go. I'm not a novice with taxes, but I'm certainly no expert, and it only takes me a couple of hours to complete my return (I do my fiancé's also and his take me an additional hour or so#. I own two homes, split one with my fiancé #so we're each claiming part of the write-off#, I rent the other property out, so have rental income. We have multiple investments. Buy the Premier version and everything is always pretty simple. Occasionally I have to research something, but between the IRS site and TurboTax's, all of the answers are pretty easy to find. Every once in a while you find a bug. Last year, it kept telling me there was an error on my taxes that didn't exist when you went to go back to it. So, I had to file with that error being listed. A little nerve-wracking, but the error was false so it was my only choice. This year, it kept saying "you entered zero profit and zero loss for your farm" or something like that, when I never even went into the farm section #since I don't own a farm#. All-in-all, I recommend TurboTax to everyone.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Good online support, Covers many situations, Relatively bug-free
What's not so great: If you run into a bug or need to find a particular line item, navigating the forms is not perfect

What's great about it: Easy, Complete and straight forward. Love the downloadable tax info, reports and forms
What's not so great: Would like to get individaul 1099-Div for transfer of monies to another 401K - Brokerage dos not include that 1099

Easy-to-use software

The software was easy to install and use, with instructions in plain language going through the information I had to enter in an easy-to-follow sequence. The questions were easy to understand and each page had links to help and further explanation. The error check at the end is also useful.
What's great about it: Walked me through all of the steps, covered everything
What's not so great: Unable to import information from my investment account

Overall, an excellence experience as usual. Really like TurboTax and will use it again.
What's great about it: Liked the format - easy to use.
What's not so great: Had trouble submitting the state returns online. Complications with user name and ID, etc.

Relatively Painless

I've used TurboTax for a few years now. It always goes very smoothly, but at times almost seems too easy. I won't go as far as saying I enjoy doing my taxes, but I will say it isn't as painful as it used to be.
What's great about it: Complete taxes quickly
What's not so great: Almost seems too easy
