Not happy with fees

Hidden fees this year making everyone by premier due to interest/dividends was an unwelcome surprise. I am afraid many good loyal customers like myself will be lost.
What's not so great: increased fees

Taxes Anyone Can do!

I have used Turbo Tax for over 5 years. Great program so simple to use and makes sure you do not miss any deductions. It literally goes through and asks you questions about everything with multiple choice answers you just click boxes. It enters all the data into tax forms automatically based on your answers. We even buy the premium because we have a rental property, we are teachers who go to graduate school so student loans are on there, we have a child, and we have many deductions I track. So simple even my husband who knows nothing about our finances can follow it and watch me as I complete it!
What's great about it: step by step instructions, easy to follow, turns everything in to a simple question to answer
What's not so great: a little expensive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Amazing tutorial

I have established a pattern of collecting and posting my receipts throughout the year, so filing is just a matter of putting all those final numbers in. Having the year to year comparison is helpful, especially if something got omitted on my end.
filing is quick and easy. I no longer procrastinate on doing my taxes!
What's great about it: Stepped me through every detail of filing
What's not so great: It would be helpful if programs like Quicken and Quick books were this easy and make failing that much easier

Things went well until I tried to efile and connection failed. Turbotax support was great and showed me how to change the TLS setting in Vista. Then it worked fine.
What's great about it: Tax part went well as usual
What's not so great: TLS PROBLEM

TurboTax 2014

The Federal forms are easy to complete. When you are unsure they have resources to answer in detail, what it means. The state forms are not as detailed, in answering questions.
In the Federal you are able to jump easily back and forth between income, deductions etc. However, the state forms start you out at the beginning and force you to click through the work you have already completed. You can't jump back and forth, like the federal portion. If you can do this, it's not a clear work flow defined.
What's great about it: Walks you through step by step
What's not so great: Additional details are not always available in state versions

Easy Refund

The step by step instructions are easy to use. The only issue that I run into every year has to do with the Hawaii State Tax Return. I have rental income in Texas and don't need a Hawaii State Tax ID for those rental properties. TurboTax identifies an error every year asking for the Hawaii State Tax ID. I must then manually delete each record using by clicking on file in order to file my returns electronically.
What's great about it: Step by Step Instructions
What's not so great: Bug for State Tax Return Still Not Fixed
