the entries from the interest from schedule B federal form were duplicated twice on my iowa schedule b. it appears this was a programming error and took several attempts to fix before we discovered that the federal form had to be sorted. Why does turbotax place the entries made from the step by step process randomly to the schedule b federal table? Extremely frustrating to find and solve this. A similar thing happened in last years return. I've been using Turbotax since it first came out, and these issues are not up to your prior standards.

Alll in all a GOOD program. Will plan on using next year. Have used program for a number of years.
Far cheaper than an Accountant.

What's not so great: In questions- Never did see about State estimated Taxes?

Consistant Performance

I have used Turbo Tax for years and I highly recommend it to everyone. I have had CPA's in the past and have found that doing them myself, I have a better understanding of my finances while having the same if not more of a sense of security and accuracy.
What's great about it: To the point and easy to use.
What's not so great: No real Cons noted

Outstanding Program

I have used this program for several years and it has gotten better each year. despite the "change SNAFU" Turbo Tax came through again this year. Everything was explained in a reasonably easy manner and the help functions were complete and easy to use.
The only difficulty I had was when TT sent me to my state web site to pay via debit, the state site was not as easily supportive. Do I pay before I e-file or wait to e-file and then pay. TT could have assisted in that explanation.
All-in-all, a User Friendly program that I look forward to suing again.
Please don't change the program as was tried this year. If you need to charge more for a program, just do it and don't cause confusion with the program changes. Most of us aren't tax experts and we get to know a program and rely on it. I'll pay what's necessary. The government tax system has enough confusion for all of us!
What's great about it: Easy to follow with great explanations
What's not so great: A little difficult figuring out what to do for state payments.

I HAVE BEEN USING TURBO FOR 8 YEARS. I ALWAYS BUY DELUXE CAUSE OF RENTAL PROPERTY . ARE YOU GOING TO MODIFY STYLES IN FUTURE WHERE THIS COULD BE THE WRONG CHOICE ? I AM CONCERNED OVER THE PRICE DIFFERENCE OF AN UPGRADE.

Easy to use and the auto fill from previous years saves a lot of time.
What's great about it: The help comments did help resolve my foreign tax credit problem.
What's not so great: Foreign tax credit appeared and took me forever to get it removed.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Figure Source

Turbo Tax pulls in the numbers you need from both earlier lines in your forms as well as previous years forms. It would be very helpful if when we review our current year forms if we could just right click for example on a figure & have Turbo Tax tell us where it pulled that number in from.

Upgrade

Will use next year if they allow Sch D to be included with the Deluxe packaage
What's great about it: Upgraded to Premier with no problem or fee to access Sch D
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
