I'm a septagenarian and had little difficulty in following even the most complex issues dealing with a one-time sale of a partnership (K-1) and cost basis computations of investments.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, especially like the guided steps
What's not so great: Had difficulty in locating certain pages/forms in the alert column; but using the "help" tab took me to the form.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax Review

I have used Turbo Tax for years. The screens are pretty easy to understand. I generally prefer to enter everything myself, and there are times I would prefer to answer a question only once, but find that I must answer numerous times.
The NC return says that I have to attach other state's returns if I have a credit, but I'm not told how to do that.
What's great about it: Easy to understand
What's not so great: Expensive when more than 1 state

There is an error on your page for HSA's. It directs owners of the HSA to select that they inherited it. I am sorry, but I did not write down the exact words.
The "Help" function was very helpful in answering my question.
What's great about it: Good Prompts. Explanations have been expanded from previous years. Referenced exact box numbers on the forms.
What's not so great: Mistake on HSA page. TT said I had to pay for a 2nd state, which I didn't. TT indicated I had to file in MA & DE.

I have used TurboTax for many years, with both simple and more complicated returns (business expenses, rental property, etc.). I have always found it very easy to use, and have never been questioned by the IRS.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Comprehensive. Accurate.
What's not so great: It's sometimes difficult to fix errors on the forms when TurboTax finds problems

What's great about it: Step by Step & Explanations within program
What's not so great: Loading Turbo Tax on computer

We are getting a bit greedy with all of the costs.
What's great about it: Its a great vehicle to make filing taxes easy.
What's not so great: At every step of the way it asks for more money compared to last year. Total cost approximently 60% more.
