One small thing

love it and have been using turbo tax for over 20 years.
What's great about it: speed in filling out the forms and questions asked were important
What's not so great: had a bit of a problem with the puts and stock options that i had purchased
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Disappointed

For years, I completed my taxes using TurboTax Basic. This year, I had to upgrade to Deluxe and then to Premier to complete my taxes using the same forms I have always used. I didn't rate TurboTax lower than average because they did the right thing and upgraded my Basic version at no additional cost. I am hoping that next year I will be able to complete my taxes with the Basic version as I have in the past.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate
What's not so great: Had to upgrade twice

Provides a professional and affordable alternative

I have used Turbo Tax since 1996 when I relocated to North Carolina. I had previously used a CPA and his fees were high but he was professional. I was introduced to Turbo Tax at my new job by a CPA and it has served me well with professional and easy to follow materials. Thanks to all those who continue to keep Turbo Tax # 1in my April Madness.
What's great about it: File at my convenience
What's not so great: Updates not timely sometimes

As a retired CPA, I appreciate how much effort has gone into TurboTax. The program is easy for a nonprofessional to follow. The explanations are quite clear. Anyone without an exceptionally complicated tax return should be able to find a TurboTax program to suit their needs. I have used TurboTax for as long as it has been available.
What's great about it: Easy to follow.
What's not so great: None

Improved for the investor

This was the first true update that I can remember where serious improvements were made for the investor in stocks and options. Not that its ever a pleasure to do your returns, but its getting progressively more tolerable. Do not have my own business so I can not comment on that aspect.
What's great about it: Markedly easier and more accurate for stocks and option traders

For those, who have vision impairments, I would like to see future Intuit TurboTax versions allow users to increase the print size on the software.
