Great Product

Since family trusts are more and more a part of family financial planning, it would be very nice if your Premier product was capable of generating the Form 1041 Trust return and the resulting K-1 forms.
What's great about it: Everything simplified for very fast preparation of return
What's not so great: Did not provide a means of filing returns for family trusts

Bumpy Road

Some issues this year included unexplained print problems, broken link to ItsDeductible and an unexpected and all too high-cost Premium upgrade to handle an K1. Regarding the link, the help function was slow to respond. I found the issue resolution on Google and had to replace 2 program files. Not my experience with or expectation for this product.
What's great about it: Familiar, Straight-Forward
What's not so great: Functionality

Over all a good experience but state filing was frustrating.
What's great about it: Was helpful with what to enter
What's not so great: When a mistake was made in entry and was ready for review had to clear and redo return to correct

simplicity needed

turbo tax gets the job done, but it has not improved on the finer points. it asks 1 question per screen when it should ask more, pertaining to the topic.. should take you from topic to topic instead of back to the top of the top selection page everytime. should be easier to print a review copy of your work.
What's great about it: ability to select topics is nice
What's not so great: only 1 question per screen, should be more
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Tough Tax Year
on March 7, 2015

I sold stock this year and it imported from my stock broker automatically. It was a NSDQ stock, but turbo tax did not allow me to update it accordingly. I had to delete the import and add it again. The import feature is nice, but they need to include the same capability as an add when editing. When it imported, it showed I owed 3 times more than I actually did and I was very concerned. I had to spend a lot of time trying to figure out how that could be possible. They need to do a better job around the stock portion of the software.
What's great about it: I've used turbo tax for years. It is easy to use in general.
What's not so great: Stock part was not intuitive

This is my first year doing the family taxes. TurboTax made this an easy job! Thanks.
What's great about it: You reviewed my entries as I went along. Necessary!
What's not so great: I have no 'cons'.
