Keep Deluxe Version as is

Still a good product. Main problem was down grading the Deluxe Version and forcing users to upgrade to the premium version which totally confused many users. That also made me look at switching to H&R Block at home software as that package was a lot cheaper than that of Turbo Tax. Hopefully next year Turbo Tax will not try to do that again. Been a user since Turbo Tax was first introduced an am also a beta tester of TurboTax and Quicken.
What's great about it: Let us upgrade to Premium Verion at no extra cost
What's not so great: Change in the Packaging

Refund at the Rescue at the Right Time

So simple and neatly organized that even a novice can do it without any problem. No prior tax knowledge required so long as you answer and enter data correctly. Thumbs up for the team of accountants and programmers who designed turbo tax, its the best.
What's great about it: easy to follow steps
What's not so great: comparision of last years to this years not available for state of NC

You could use a tutorial on setting up Quicken for Turbotax.

2013 version was easier to use. Editing, in some instances, seemed very unprofessional. User should be able to print a hard copy for review before e-filing. The logical flow of actions was not always clear to the user (e.g., when, and what, to print). There should be an option to make the font larger (or smaller).
What's great about it: Imports last years data easily.
What's not so great: Poor editing; logical flow of actions not always clear; inability to make font larger.

TurboxTax 2014 review

All went very well, except I was never prompted for my IP PIN, which caused my returns to be rejected and had to be amended. I am using TurboTax Premier 2014 (MAC).
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: I was not prompted to enter an IP PIN
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Very good tax software

It's great that Turbotax can access financial institutions and download key tax information right into the program. This saves a lot of work and eliminates data entry errors. I wish it was better at handling Master Limited Partnerships and knowing how to do the taxes for these. It goes part way, but some info must be entered by hand. I also did not find a way to designate an unpaid preparer if you're helping someone else do their taxes. But all-in-all a very good tax program.
What's great about it: Good interview that takes you through everything
What's not so great: Could be better at handling MLP taxes

Great product. It has improved over the years. It's gotten more clear in explaining what info is needed. I will purchase it again next year. I thought the Health Care portion would be a lot more complicated. You made it very easy.

Love It Except

Everything is explained. You can jump from one area to another and it tracks and saves everything. Easy to use. Used it for years but only one thing irritates me and that is paying for state e-filing. As much as it costs, it should be included.
