Retiree Using T-tax

I have been using T-tax for many years and have been very happy with your product. I really want to continue using it as long as I am on this planet. However, this year was different! All of a sudden, Deluxe was not as good as last year's product. Now, there were many levels of Deluxe....WHY? You had to automatically shift me to Premier at no cost. Please keep it simple for me and others like me.
What's great about it: Use of prior year info; thoroughness of the walk thru process
What's not so great: Deluxe became Premier

I receive Social Security and don't understand why the taxable amount of that changed unless it was because I entered health insurance information.
What's great about it: Searched everything
What's not so great: mystified why a second review changed so much for the better

Have never had a problem in using this product, even when the returns were much more complex.
What's great about it: Provides as much detail as one selects
What's not so great: Some skepticism if all taxable areas are addressed for filer
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I've used TurboTax now since 2004. I was not doing my own taxes until then, but was, by necessity, closely involved in the process each year. TurboTax allows me to do what I need to do to get what I deserve and within the law!
What's great about it: just easy to use, lots of help embedded and online!
What's not so great: can't find any!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

dealing with the input of the k-1 was very confusing. i ended up going to the form to fill out areas not prompted by turbo tax. i always wonder if i am doing it correctly.........

Turbo Tax Better than Accountant

I have been using Turbo Tax since it arrived on the market. Each year it has been enlarged to accommodate new changes in the tax code. I have to file a number of different forms because my portfolio contains a variety of holdings. In every case, Turbo Tax has handled the numerous factors going into my return.
What's great about it: Perfection is the only adjective that fits
What's not so great: Wish it were less expensive for repeat users
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Another Easy Year

I have been using TurboTax for at least ten years. It is easy to use with its methodical, step-by-step and organized process. Easy filing for both federal and state returns.
What's great about it: Easy to use; ties into Quicken; provides excellent record; saves time when downloading investment information from firm
What's not so great: None
