Your customer service rep helped me to overcome the upgrade issues. I did not get the "free" state filing as it was not available after 2/16, but nowhere was I able to find out about that! Also, the customer rep did not know it had expired so you are a big company. I managed to get thru OK. However, I did find a duplicate entry for home interest. You need to put in a check/double cx for exact amount entries in the same category.
My return would have gone to audit if I had not caught this error.
What's great about it: Very through
What's not so great: upgrades were a suprise!

Solid Process

Great software. I took a H&R Block course to earn extra money. I don't know why anyone would use a place such as H&R Block because the software they use is essentially the same as Turbo Tax. I have been using Turbo Tax for years and I have no intentions on stopping.
What's great about it: Ease of use and transfer of previous year's info
What's not so great: Not all of my Fidelity info imported
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Didn't think the necessary change from Deluxe to Premier for stocks, investments, etc was handled well until the update was made free.
What's great about it: import from banks, financial etc works well

Steady Progress, No Intimidation

Although I've used TurboTax for years, I always choose the longer, step-by-step approach. Using this option, I often learn something new, see a calculation in a new light, or just get a new perspective. Several friends are intimidated about doing their own taxes, but because TurboTax breaks everything down to its basic component parts, there is no intimidation factor at all.
What's great about it: Good pacing, friendly and easy to understand questions
What's not so great: Went back and changed an entry and it was a challenge to get the new entry accepted.

Program was more coherent this year with fewer inconsistencies, although there were some.
What's great about it: Pretty intuitive
What's not so great: Did not offer any explanation of why it would not let me enter medical expenses

Don't make drastic year to year changes and why aren't the state submissions free also?
What's great about it: Did all of the math for me.
What's not so great: Didn't have the same forms as last year and was concerned when I started

2014 Taxes

The overall exp. was above avg. I've used H&R the past 5 yrs. Both have pros n cons but after using TurboTax....i favor Turbo Tax slightly more. Some stuff was confusing but worked around it.
What's great about it: Import of Brokerage for Sched D was AWESOME!!!
What's not so great: fixing errors was a bit hard to understand. Wud have luv'd to enter multiple e-mails for confirmation.
