Excellent Software

I have been using Turbotax for many years. I have found that it has been a valuable translator of convoluted tax form information into understandable data entry, with easy access to more information when needed. I also appreciate the self-checking and reminders that are built-in, and the hints when something is important or not a common entry. I have never run into an error in the software, which itself is unusual for material that has to be frequently updated, and where data has to be used in many different areas.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

AFTER READING OTHERS COMMENTS ABOUT THE POORLY PLANNED PRICE CHANGE AFFECT, I TRIED AN ALTERNATIVE TAX PROGRAM. WHAT A MISTAKE!! I'M BACK WITH TURBO TAX. I WISH THEY WOULD IMPROVE THEIR COMMUNICATION RE: PRICE CHANGE RATIONALE.

Got My Refund

It was a great way to do my taxes have used it for many years. First time I had to update because description of the one I bought was wrong on box, but the update was free.
What's great about it: Easy to complete
What's not so great: Had to update due to buying wrong Turbo Tax due to bix description

I had a hard time transferring my 2013 return to this year's return. It wasn't easy for the representative either but she figured it out and got the job done.
What's great about it: Representatives were thorough
What's not so great: Long phone wait (over 1 hour)

Turbo tax has worked for me, and as long as I'm able to year after year NOT have to put in the same info then I will stay with turbo tax

YOUR PROGRAM IS OK. I HAVE BEEN A USER FOR OVER 12 YEARS. SOME OF YOUR PRIOR FEATURES WERE MUCH BETTER. YOUR FIND AND HELP FEATURES ARE VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT. VERY INCONVENIENT TO HAVE TO SIGN IN AND ENTER MY PASSWORD OVER AND OVER. SHOULD BE ABLE TO WAIVE THIS SO SIGN-IN IS NEEDED ONLY ONCE. PRINTING OF FORMS AND SHEETS SHOULD BE MORE SELECTIVE. SHOULD BE ABLE TO ENTER DATA DIRECTLY ONTO FORMS.
What's great about it: Comprehensive. Thorough
What's not so great: HELP FEATURE AWFUL. HARD TO REVEIW INDIVIDUAL FORMS. CAN'T PRINT OUT CERTAIN INFO (HISTORY, AUDIIT POTENTIAL, ETC
