eaasy to use

I was disappointed that the finance section was removed from the delux version
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I had to upgrade from Delux in order to input investment section for stock transactions and Dividends
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR OVER 10 YEARS. I WOULDN'T USE ANYTHING ELSE.

Problems previewing 2014 returns before e- filing - not clear instructions for IMAC -e[filing rejected due to no errors by me-Turbotax efile federal rejected Sch D even thought it was correct.Capital Gains.
What's great about it: improved each year
What's not so great: Apple IMac Support needs improvement

My review is for Turbo Tax Premier on a Mac .
I usually use Turbo Tax Deluxe but because I sold a stock in 2014 and Turbo Tax removed schedule D from the Deluxe package I bought Turbo Tax Premier. I could not automatically bring forward my 2013 Turbo Tax information into TT 2014. Turbo Tax Premier couldn't find it even though it was still on my computer.
I entered all my 2014 information by hand but the next day when I wanted to return to it all the info was gone even though I had saved it. So I entered it all again. I've been using Turbo Tax for years so I'm not a novice at this. I had trouble with the software this year. That hasn't been true in the past. I don't know if it is just the Premier version or all the Turbo Tax products are more troublesome this year.
I wasted a lot of time preparing my return.
What's great about it: Did all the calculations accurately. Walked you thru the process .
What's not so great: Did not bring forward the info from 2013 Turbo Tax. Had trouble saving the info on my 2014 return and retrieving it .

I have used several of the programs and have used Turbotax since it was on DOS. I find it is head and shoulders above the close competition for ease of use and understand-ability.
What's great about it: Easiest to use tax prep
What's not so great: Had to buy premier to do same as last yr with deluxe

Great product

This is my 8th time using TurboTax. It took little time and effort to do my federal and state taxes. It's nice to know the math is right and my refund has been maximized.
Here's hoping the TurboTax people improve handling of the US Savings Bond interest exclusion in the program. I had cashed in Savings Bonds to pay college expenses for my kid. I had to learn on my own about allocating expenses between the American Opportunity credit and other education expenses in order to exclude my interest from taxes. The program did not assist me in this matter.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Handling of US Savings Bond interest exclusion
