Didn't like your original changes, KS filing free

I was very upset over the original changes you made to this years Turbo tax. You did the right thing in that you changed back to last years format. It is disconcerting that you charge for the KS e-filing when it can be done for free using the Kansas site.
What's great about it: I like the same simple entry system found in Turbotax.
What's not so great: I CAN FILE MY KANSAS INCOME TAXES FOR FREE.

bad advertisment

I think they should think ahead how they change the prespective on paying for state fees. its a little more money to pay isnt it ?
What's great about it: great software for tax preparetion
What's not so great: bad advertisment, sometimes there is bugs

Wish I had used it earlier

I love the level of detail of Turbo Tax. It shows what deductions you missed and by how much. It walks you through everything, if you want. Two problems I wish they'd fix: (1# It keeps reminding me that I didn't file a state tax return. However, I live in Texas where there is no state income tax and Turbo Tax knows that, but keeps reminding me anyway. At the point where it determined I did not need to file it, it should have set some flag so that it did not keep reminding me and #2) when I jump back a bit to change something, I can't go back to where I leftoff and pickup from there. I must step through every step from where I jumped back to to where I left off originally. I don't like that feature. I will use Turbo Tax next year and probably forever.
What's great about it: Great way to see exactly how and what the government is doing to your money
What's not so great: It keeps reminding me that I didn't file a state income tax return. However, I live in TX & its not required.

Mostly Outstanding Package

I've used Turbo tax for over 10 years, and generally been delighted with the software and process. The Audit Defense saved my a ton of time one year when an outside clerical error indicated $50K of income was taxable. AD handled it and no additional IRS costs to us.
This year I was unable to link the software with my listed investment accounts, and had to manually enter. Time consuming and potential for an error. I also had a question and could not find a way to chat on line to figure it out. Finally resolved myself.
Overall, I continue to be high on the software, and plan to use it for many years to come.
What's great about it: Easy to follow directions, somewhat intuitive process flow. Checking phase vitally important and helpful.
What's not so great: Could not get my investments to download, difficult to find online chat option
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I've used Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember. Not disappointed with it yet. Never had a problem that wasn't resolved easily by a representative. Recommend the program to anyone......novice to expert.
What's great about it: Same easy process as in the previous years.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Taxes are done!

I have used TurboTax to file my taxes since 1974. It has always been easy to use, whether following step by step or by filling in information on my own. I will continue to use and recommend TurboTax to all.
What's great about it: Ease of navigation of screens.
