I have been using turbo tax for years. I have also tried other do-it-yourself tax software. Nothing compares to turbotax.
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Upgrade point to Premier not logical

I bought deluxe as I have for many years. I was able to enter 1099 INT and 1099 DIV into the program. When I had to enter 1099 B, Turbotax required an upgrade to Premier. It is a poor and unfair place to require an upgrade. It was a free upgrade this year but probably will not be free next year.
1099 B which is part of the 1099 document investment family should be part of Deluxe and not require an upgrade.
What's great about it: Great way for an individual to do taxes
What's not so great: required upgrades

Excellent Resource!

I have used Turbo Tax for our itemized deductions and rental property for years. I have always been content and felt that everything was covered. And best of all, Turbo Tax found deduction for me that I was not aware of. It would be extremely difficult for me to be swayed into using any other tax program. Thanks Turbo Tax!!!

Easy and Efficient

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. I like the organized, easy to follow format for each section. The software takes care of transferring info from the federal return into the state return making things easy. E-file is also easy.
What's great about it: Easy to follow "walk throughs" each section
What's not so great: none

Premium surprise

Not happy when it came time for calculating capital gains and I was notified that I would have to subscribe to Premium. If this is so next year I will consider another option to Turbotax Delux. This was never a problem with previous TurboTax Delux. The overall rating was based on not having to pay extra for Premium this year. .

2014 Returns

Overall, happy with the software. When the breach was leaked, I felt confident that TT would handle it...they even bumped me up the Premium version. If anything were to happen with my account, I feel TT would make it right
