Confusing

Should have had a way to indicate Sched C wasn't needed. Shouldn't have to physically remove the form.
What's great about it: Better form manipulation
What's not so great: No easy way to remove unneeded forms

Headache Over

I like how easy it is to complete my taxes with Turbo Tax. I was really disappointed in how the programs were changed by you guys. I usually got the Deluxe Turbo Tax, but I had to upgrade to the next step up (at a greater fee) because I had some stocks to take care of on my return.
What's great about it: Ease of doing my taxes
What's not so great: Turbo Tax changing things up

Where's my itemized Deductions?

When you ask if someone has received Social Security, add "or Railroad Retirement" because it is very confusing to follow through the Social Security path to enter my Railroad Retirement Tier 1. It just doesn't logically follow to go down a path that doesn't ask for Railroad Retirement, only Social Security payments.
Don't change Turbo Tax next year so that it doesn't itemize deductions! Then I will have to use another tool.
What's great about it: Love working each year with Turbo Tax
What's not so great: Need to do itemized deductions every year because of medical costs.

TurboTax Makes a Difference with Investment Trades

Once again, TurboTax was a clerical savior in downloading investment sale and purchase information from Fidelity to avoid significant clerical entries into the tax form (13 pages of entries). Thank you TurboTax and Fidelity for making this process work.
One small issue - I would like to see a page which actually shows the calculation of the tax due. Need to make sure the formulas I use in spreadsheets are correct, so this addition would be very helpful.
I've been a TutboTax user for as long as I can remember - probably over 20 years. It gets better and better.

What's great about it: Loved the ability to download all transactions from Fidelity

Avoided a Disaster

LOVE this product. Been using it for many years and haven't a clue what other products offer. Don't really care. It's so worth the money. I love the question format which helps educate me concerning what information I need. I have rental property and your expense questions helped me build a spreadsheet where I keep monthly records and it automatically totals the entire year.
What's great about it: The detailed questions and the assurance you catch everything so I don't have to worry
What's not so great: It's clear we live in Florida which pays no income tax. The software almost insisted I do Florida taxes

Long Time User

I have been using Turbo Tax and Quicken for a long time - over 10 years. I have a good understanding of the tax laws and find Turbo tax dependable and accurate. I have never been audited while using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Handles investment and sales well and is easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax is Best

I have used Turbo tax for around 20 years. It is the most comprehensive tax program and the easiest to use. Steps are simple to follow, but are also fully up-to-date with IRS requirements. E-filing process is the best single feature.
What's great about it: Most complete and easiest to use.
What's not so great: Switch to Premier edition

I had royalty income but no rental income on my personal residence (property). Turbo Tax Schedule E was requiring input for rental income. I am a long time Turbo Tax user and this is the first time I have had a problem like this.
What's great about it: Detailed Review
What's not so great: Unable to resolve Schedule E problem
