Not perfect.....but good.

I had TT download my 1099 div that reported foreign income and taxes paid in several countries. Trying to get the Form1116 completed with the different countries individually reported was such a mess that I gave up and entered "various". This doesn't seem to change my tax liability so hope I don't get audited. We shall see...........
What's great about it: generally does a good job
What's not so great: Form 1116 for dividends won't work with a 1099 that has more than one country reported

Turbo Tax is the best

I like that it explained everything to me. That made it so much easier. I used Turbo Tax for the first time for 2013 and I will keep using it.

Turbo Tax is Easy

I like Turbo Tax. I have used it for years and I find it simple to use and accurate. I would like it to better provide information about handling divorce finances but that is in my rear view mirror now.
What's great about it: Easy to use for most tax situations
What's not so great: Could be better with special situations like divorce

Simple Return

Everything went perfect with the exception of the E-file for my State Return. I had to have customer service provide a manual confirmation number for the purchase.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: E-file was a problem
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TT Better than Last YEar

TurboTax Premier just keeps getting better! As much as taxes are not a lot of fun, TurboTax takes some of the pain out of it. I hope that the developers of TurboTax have a Continuous Improvement mindset so that they can continue to improve TT.
What's great about it: Better Explanations, More Logical
What's not so great: Takes Longer to Load, Still a Bit Pricey

That's about it! Not difficult at all unless the broker doesn't provide required information.
What's great about it: Carried info forward, walked us through steps, gave us confidence.
What's not so great: When Adjustment Code needed, give me a link to IRS list of codes.

Just followed all the directions and filing became pretty easy. Had to go back a couple of times, which turbo-tax allows you to do, to reentered more data. It was seamless.
