Awesome as usual!

All good as usual; hoping calculations are good this year; last year there was a problem which I got a break...
What's great about it: Always user friendly
What's not so great: None at this time; hope calculations are good
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax is the best

I have been using Turbo tax for many years and would reccommend to anyone rather than pay the prices to have your taxes done by a tax office preparer. I have had the opportunity to use the tax professional software and I prefer turbo tax. Though I don't always take advantage of it, being able to use Itsdeductible all year is really helpful.
What's great about it: Easy for the average person to use and is comparable to professional tax software

Overall, I am very pleased with this year's version of Turbo Tax. Initially had trouble importing the charitable contributions data in It's Deductible program, but followed the guidance on the Intuit Turbo Tax help advisory for that problem, and it worked great! I feel confident that I was able to find every available, legitimate deduction through Turbo Tax. I will use them again next year.
What's great about it: Ease of use.
What's not so great: Had to do some workarounds in order to import my It's Deductible info.

Not up to par with previous Turbo Tax releases

Well this the first year that I can't recommend Turbo Tax to anyone, I've been a customer for around 15 years or more. It is sad to say that Turbo can't make simple comparison between to lines Form 8863 lines 4, and 5 setting proper value in 6 (some negative value). The tool needs a better regression sweep to keep errors out of forms. Turbo Tax did catch the error, but the user had to fix it. All inputs to this form were generated automatically based on student dependents (one in this case). Other annoying things are it is harder to view the forms, and switch back and forth after edits in Quick Turbo user friendly mode. Also can you fix next release so user can just print ESTIMATE TAX PAYMENT form without the unending questions that don't apply. Just thumbs down this year. I don't have enough time and space to write all the bad feedback.
What's great about it: None I can think of
What's not so great: Over-priced, user has to fix Turbo's calculation errors

Appreciate the detail and the process

Just about everyone who can read and write should be able to use Turbo Tax. The process is fully understandable and the process provides the user with an understanding of how the tax is calculated. This is not provided when an outside accounting service does the returns.
What's great about it: easy to follow prompts
What's not so great: When there are questions responses are cumbersome

Better than anticipated

TurboTax has been a very consistant product over the years. I have been able to rely on this consistancy and my accuracy has always been high. I had tried other products several years ago, but didn't have the confidence in my returns that I have with TurboTax
What's great about it: able to account for the many changes that happened last year
What's not so great: Had to gather all the paperwork for all the changes that happened last year

Turbo Tax Let Me Down This Year

TurboTax was difficult to configure this year. I spent a great deal of time trying to deal with Intuit's issues with TurboTax. The upgrade from Deluxe to Premier did not go well. The download of state forms was particularly difficult. I had to go into the respective folders (Deluxe 2014 and Premier 2014) and delete files to make the software work.
What's great about it: Still Relatively Easy To Use
What's not so great: Upgrade from Deluxe to Premier; State Tax Forms Download and Availability.
