Way More than Expected!

Took a bit long - but then it's taxes and was WAY shorter than doing them by hand.
What's great about it: Awesome on the qualifying student deductions
What's not so great: a bit long
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Confusion with state E filing

After reviewing both Federal & state, Turbo tax asked for payment for state efiling (I thought I had already prepaid for that when purchasing the software)
After payment was made, Turbo tax had to one last check and found that I could not E file my state return because 1099 R state withholding was 25% of the Gross distribution. So now I have to mail my state return after I was charged for efiling.

There is nothing complicated about my return. However, I am confident that all aspects of my income and deductions were covered by walking through the questions provided by TurboTax. TurboTax Premier upgrade was provided without additional cost.
What's great about it: Confident all aspects of my income and deductions are covered.
What's not so great: Needed TurboTax Premier for some simple investments.

Another year in the bag!

I've used Turbo Tax for several years. It is nice using it consecutive years because it starts from last years data and allows you to compare. this gives a reality check and also helps you feel like you are not missing anything.
The automatic download to the State return is also sweet, it get done "in a heart beat".
What's great about it: Walked me through the whole return, with good help boxes
What's not so great: Tax Filing is always a pain
