Very supportive

I like the fact that my information is populated from the previous year and that I can download my financial information directly into the worksheet.
I also like that most of my questions or situations are common and that what I enter is correct.
Using your structured format, I feel confident that I am representing myself correctly and following the tax rules.
I tend to be a rule follower and you give me confidence.

With the bad press about filing issues, not having all the forms. I was cautious as to the outcome. But you have cleared up your problems.. I would have been nice to point that out when the upgrade finished..

necessary but not fun

I have used Turbotax for many years and prior to that had mistakes when I used a professional CPA to prepare my taxes
What's great about it: good explanations and thorough
What's not so great: thorough - figuring taxes is a CHORE

Quick & Easy tax filing

Overall I like using Turbotax, it makes tax preparation and filing easy without the need to study the millions of tax laws and regulations.
What's great about it: The full walk through in layman's terms of earnings & deductions
What's not so great: Encountered difficulty getting updates - I believe this was due to a negative interaction with the security software.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Excellent Tax Refund Service

TurboTax is simply the best federal and state tax tools on the market right now. Very easy to use; extremely helpful, and ever so easy to use.
What's great about it: intuitive, easy to use
What's not so great: nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Harder to use this year

The interview process seemed harder to negotiate this year. For example, it asked me to enter all the data from my W-2 and 1099s without asking me first if I wanted to try the Import method.
Overall, the interview was extremely thorough, and seemed to cover every conceivable situation. The free upgrade from Deluxe to Premier was very appreciated, as I did not know that I had needed the Premier after all. Thank you Turbo Tax.
And using It's Deductible has always been a life saver for me. Thanks again.
What's great about it: Did a great job with all the data on my 1099-B.
What's not so great: Difficult to find the Import area for W-2 and 1099.

Pretty thorough program

Great program. I have dual citizenship and dual residence issues. I have to file in US and Canada, and am a citizen of both, so we have a truly unusual and complex return. Nevertheless, we have used this program every year and gotten the best refund possible. Obviously, it can't deal with every possible weird situation but it is pretty dang good.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, relatively fast, complete, great integration with prior years
What's not so great: Not for complex returns, but I'm really being picky here

It gets easier every year!

Because I filed my taxes last year with TurboTax Premier, much of the information needed this year was already entered. My spouse is a business owner with a home office, so many complications related to that were taken care of in previous years.
Being able to download income information was also extremely helpful, and gives me confidence that the entries are correct!
What's great about it: It's so easy it's no longer a burden to do my taxes!
What's not so great: I really have no Cons to share.
