Great tool, had some issues on the trickier entries dealing with state tax on tax free government investments and carry forward state and foreign taxes paid.
What's great about it: Good tool, helps guide input

Very straight forward. Tried having someone else do my taxes last year - never again - Turbo Tax is MUCH simpler.

I appreciate how Turbo Tax admitted their mistake in changing the Deluxe Program and the ease it was to upgrade to the Premier, which I did with the help of a Turbo Tax Technician.

Good Product

The only complaint I have with TurboTax Premier Deluxe is that they don't keep a copy of returns e-filed. If they maintained a vault with last years return, it would make the product a lot easier to use, with automated look-ups that speed up the process. Other than that, this is an easy to use product that helps pull the user through their taxes and eases the pain.
It would also be nice if there was a log kept that would show the impact of changes on the return, so the user could look up what lowered or raised their liability.

What's great about it: Easy to use, don't have to be a CPA, can stop at any point.
What's not so great: Had to really dig for last years return, ended up going to IRS

My mom passed away the month before returns were due and I was unable to file or collect documentation. Turbo tax helped me submit for an extension and kept all my information until I was able to collect all forms needed to submit late. It also provided the proper address to submit my return and check to IRS which was not provided in notice from IRS. Although I had to pay, Turbo tax kept it simple and quick....thank you.
What's great about it: allowed me to save and return to my return as needed.
What's not so great: haven't found anything

Continues to be easy

Once again it was easy to do taxes. We used the Premier since we had some mutual fund activity this year. Super easy to do. You still need to gather the information, either electronically or from your files, but it all can be put in the correct places.
The only negative is the interface "resets" choices to defaults on many of the screens in the instance where you return to the screen. You have to re-select your choices, which can be annoying if all you wanted to do was go step-by-step thru the process again to review your responses at a later date. One of us prepares the data, and the other checks it over before filing. We need to do the check-over together due to this default reset.
The e-file process is a no-brainer. Couldn't be easier.
Aside from that, it is an awesome tool to help this process. We've been using it for many years.

Using TurboTax Just Gets Easier

I have used TurboTax for at least 20 years. Since financial institutions have started to download information, especially stock transactions, doing my taxes has become much easier. I still like to go through the interview process just to make sure I haven't missed any changes.
What's great about it: More Financial Institutions Download Information
What's not so great: Had to Upgrade to Premier, but got Refund Offer

Efficient and easy

This is the 2nd yr I have used Turbo Tax. I was contemplating using a tax service this yr as I sold a house and thought I would need the services of a tax consultant.
Instead, I used Turbo Tax Premium-what a cake walk. I saved myself at least $200.
