2014 Turbotax Deluxe is poor this year

Unlike years past, Turbotax deluxe didn't support even simple schedule E calculations so I had to pay to upgrade to "premier" - which was in fact less useful than Duluxe of prior years.
Further, the NC state tax never asked if my pension was a military pension, which is tax exempt in NC. Had I not double checked and figured out how to modify the return in forms mode , I would have had to overpay by thousands of dollars. (There was no guidance for this in "help")

Great way to prepare your taxes! We've used Turbo Tax for at least 10 years and have had no problems except the ones we created. We had to place a call to the help line and the tech stayed on the phone with my husband for over an hour trying to solve the computer problem created when we went beyond the October 15th deadline. Word to the wise.....DON'T EVER DO THAT!!!!!

I had to pay for one of the returns and it was rejected so I am out the money for one that I did not transmit.
What's not so great: I don't like having to pay for the state returns. Once I upgraded to the higher program I had to pay for the state ones

Best program ever

Premier did not automatically go to my rental property expenses and it was very difficult to find where and how to enter them. The program told me I had to have Premier to enter rental expenses but it did not take me to it in the step by step process. It just skipped over that part of the process.
What's great about it: Simple, Quick, and Accurate.

2014 Tax year Filing

Have used for years for multiple returns, kids, sister in law etc. ANd I work as a professional tax preparer at a firm that uses Tax Wise. This is better.
Draw back. Did not like the changing of your software content. Specifically I used Deluxe up to this year, tried to do my schedule B data and found that was not included. Got a free Upgrade to Premier, but now next year more expensive. Still guess I will pay the fee.

I had to buy the more expensive Premier edition just to have access to Schedule E for farm land rental.
