filing was a headache

Had to use Google to find solution on IE setting problems... e-file was a real pain
What's great about it: process was reasonably easy
What's not so great: filing was a problem - had to use Google to find solution to submit problems

great process

have used Turbo tax for a number of years, pretty easy to use. like the interface with quicken and the quicken tax planner.
What's great about it: easy to use and put in data
What's not so great: find it not intuitive to enter foreign investment data.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Tax Filing

Filing accepted by both Feds and State, been over a week no refund
What's great about it: Easy and convenient
What's not so great: had to go premier just to file K form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Step by Step for the Tax handicapped user

My 1099 from Ameritrade seemed to flag your system, your system asked me to put in the exempt state after block 10, my hard copy has a block 11 which is a specified private activity bond interest dividends. So I typed in "CA" in the block you provided hoping I didn't screw things up. The system, seemed to take it.
What's great about it: The process walks the user through, automatic downloads of w-2's 1099's etc make life easier
What's not so great: I was advised by the software one one of my 1099's that needed an entry but my hard copy didnt have the block

Quick & easy as always

I've been using TurboTax for about 10 years & it's been smooth sailing... for the most part. There have been a couple of instances where I could not figure out where to enter a tax document or needed confirmation as to whether something was deductible or not. But I can honestly say I have never regretted using TurboTax, and I will do so again next year.
My one wish is that state e-filing was "free" as well, since I pay for the software. Just about every year I e-file my Federal return & mail my state return (there was one or two years when I *did* pay for e-filing my state return).
What's great about it: Step by step guide helps avoid mistakes. Imports previous years info.
What's not so great: Some answers to questions in "help" section seem vague.

I love TurboTax. I've used it for the past 10 years with confidence.
What's great about it: Nice basic prompts that gets me from struggling thru all of the complex stuff
What's not so great: Sometimes a little hard to see the impact of each of the inputs.

Software install difficulties

As a previous user(many, many years) I had difficulty determining what I needed to do to upgrade the deluxe version to included the excluded forms. It took many hours of searching the internet until I found the correct phone number to call. The phone number should have been easily accessible within the software (since the store I purchase it from said it was very easy to update). Once I got a live person on the phone it did only take about five minutes to get the update and he was very helpful.
What's great about it: Very simple to use
What's not so great: Very difficult to get correct version
