It was horrific...

Instead of trying to help me process my federal and state taxes the program was busy trying to sell me additional service. Terrible. I tried to make this a "0" star rating but was forced to select "1".

Montana Medical Savings Account deduction

The Montana Medical Savings Account deduction is limited by law to $3,000. However, TurboTax fails to recognize this and will enter any amount you provide. Please modify the program to reflect the $3,000 limit. Thanks!

First-Rate Help with Filing Tax Returns

TurboTax is a remarkable product. I have used it for at least five years. It takes the headaches out of filing tax returns. It is structured in a logical, sense-making way. If some given sections require additional information or clarification, "help" sidebars are available. It checks entries, and if errors are found, it provides a convenient way for the user to correct them. One suggestion for improvement: Define certain terms, such as what constitutes a "Medicaid, Medicare, VA, or other gov.-sponsored program." Humana has joined with Medicare, should I have checked that box? That issue aside. I warmly endorse TurboTax. It's like having a tax return expert looking over your shoulder as you fill in the blanks.

Huge price increase by setting out D in premier package.
I understand that you are going to make this right somehow. This return needed D which came with Premier. But a second return I will do require C which I find in another more expensive version. Even if you make this up - I will tell you now that if C and D are not part of Deluxe next year I will be looking at other options.

Error checking did not find errors that were found when trying to electronically file.
What's not so great: Huge price increase by setting out D in premier package. Error checking did not find errors.

Love Turbo Tax!

We've used Turbo Tax for years and appreciate being walked through all of the tax areas as our lives changed (getting married, buying/selling homes and having children). It makes it easy to fill in everything and Turbo Tax checks for errors.
What's great about it: Easy to use, detailed, checks for errors and inexpensive
What's not so great: The updates take some time but the wait is worth it

Made the complicated easy!

I've been a TT user for about 15 years. Ever since a highly paid Tax Preparer/Accountant cost me a lot of money in mistakes! I found myself spending as much time putting my paperwork together for him as it takes me to complete my own taxes. Ever since then I've used Turbo Tax. I've made mistakes over the years, honest mistakes, but it still has cost me less time and stress than having a preparer do it for me. Thanks TurboTax!
What's great about it: Always love the Audit Check!
What's not so great: Property Tax Refund - separate filling not clear?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
