Loyal TurboTax customer

I have been a TurboTax user for many years. It is incredibly easy to use year after year.
What's great about it: As easy to use as ever.
What's not so great: Minor issue with importing from brokerage account. Not a big deal to enter information myself.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Trustworthy Product and Process

I am in church ministry as a vocation and this calls for an unusual tax situation. I was unsure Turbo Tax could do this but I gave it a chance 20 years ago and never looked back. It has taken on every new phase of my life and financial situation with ease.
In 2013 I realized a significant missed deduction for 2012. Used went back to Turbo Tax and made the changes and refiled and got some money back. Easier than I thought it could be.
I don't like the recent change in features. I now have to use premium in order to get the features I got from the deluxe version last year.
What's great about it: understands clergy tax situation; great import feature; remembers entries from previous year; multiple free e-files
What's not so great: downgraded deluxe features

Unexpectedly Easy!

This is the first time I have filled out our taxes (without professional assistance) in years. I was dreading having to figure out where all of the numbers from our investment activity would go, so I was pleasantly surprised when Turbo Tax offered to import my information. Bang! Hard part done!! The rest of the return was very straightforward, and as easy as I had hoped.
What's great about it: Loved the import of investment data!
What's not so great: None that I could find

The person who helped me with a problem with the state program was very patient
What's great about it: understable process
What's not so great: elemonated part of the Deluxe program and addedit o the premier version

Clunky Process

Overall Turbo Tax is well written especially with the questions and providing one to go to specific areas however this year, was more clunky than in previous years. I tried H&R previously and this years Turbo Tax was similar to H&R. Questions and how it moves thru various topics was not as clear and smooth in previous years.

Disappointed

This year I encountered problems starting with the feature change to the Deluxe edition which delayed me. I was unable to download and had to return the Deluxe CD to store and purchase the Premier CD. Then I continued to have trouble purchasing an additional State and had to contact support. Their Quick fix option did not work, so they had to do it. Then I was unable to file the additional state. I opted to just print and mail and filed the other two. So many issues this year.
What's great about it: Excellent Product, I have used for years
What's not so great: Modification to the Feature in the Deluxe CD
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have used Turbo Tax for over a decade and will continue to use it. It's software I can trust.
What's great about it: Guides you through the entire process, ensures you have the most recent version each time
What's not so great: none

Progress, progress needs further work

I've used TT for years- so plusses. My problem is trying to make changes, correct errors due to ambiguous interview questions can spend huge amounts of time trying to figure how to enter correct values. Examples: I wanted to change requested refund amount; or I entered an amount for Fed tax free/Ca taxable income as answers to 2 questions, and had double addition to
Ca income. So some ambiguities need work, would like better
direction to 'original form/worksheet' when necessary to override
an erroneous entry ( when checking 'forms'.
