I have used TurboTax for many years and plan to use it next year...
Being able to download W2 and 1099 information is nice.
I appreciate the link to ItsDeductible. This is very helpful with Donations (especially non-cash donations)
Most of the preparation is straight forward.
However, trying not to be double taxed on Short Term ESPP sales is painful. This could be made more straight forward. (DISQE from W-2, 1099-B and Form 3922 provide all this information so this could be calculated automatically)
Overall, a great help.
What's great about it: Pulls info from previous year. Download W2 info and 1099s
What's not so great: Basis for ESPP could be more automatic

I was rather concerned when my 1099-B didn't have the information on it that I expected to see but Turbotax walked me through pulling the missing pieces together to fill it in correctly for the sale of my employer restricted stock...GREAT product!
What's great about it: Walked me step by step on my sale of restricked stock....loved it!

just glad it's over for another year. hope intuit learned its lesson on the need for capital gains schedules in the deluxe product, and also hope I won't have to jump through hoops to get my rebate.

Despite the fact that I find TT easy to use after all these years if you should take away features or charge more for the same product next year I will switch. As it is, you should be charging repeat customers less for annual updates. After all it is NOT A NEW product and the year over year development is minimal!!
You should continue to add new missing forms, for example NY IT-241. At least it would somewhat justify you charging me to repurchase the entire product again.
This year there was an annoying bug that did not let you properly check your NY state return. Work on your QQ
What's great about it: I have used it for years
What's not so great: decided to take away and then restore features that have been with the product

This is my first year doing an automated tax return. It was very user friendly and straightforward. I will do this again next year.
What's great about it: No more accountant for me!!

Easy walk through the whole process - some concern

Turbo tax always does a great job guiding you through the process. I wished they'd put the next button further up on the page. When working through some deduction and income categories I found many did not apply and I had to scroll down to the bottom of the page repeatedly to move along.
I'd like to be able to enter estimated taxes early in the interview process; perhaps right after entering income. It's mostly an emotional thing but I'd like to know where I stand as I enter income from rentals, royalties and other sources.
What's great about it: Good explantations of the different categories. Liked importing data from financial institutions
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to back up to make changes or corrections
