Straight forward however...

I am giving 3 stars just because Intuit change the Deluxe version so you have to buy the next higher version. I always use the Deluxe version but this year I had to purchased the Premier version due to Intuit Deluxe no longer support investments.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instruction
What's not so great: I had to return my deluxe to get the premier for investment.

Simple and easy

I have used Turbo Tax for years. It is safe, easy to use, line by line for me but can skip around if you are a pro. Fast, streamline and functional! Thanks
What's great about it: Line by line guidance, easy look up information, user friendly has made me come back to Turbo Tax for years!!!!
What's not so great: State efile should be included.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Other tax programs are available that do not require upgrades and don't charge you as much for state tax programs. I needed more than one state and it cost as much as the upgraded package to get another state. Why is it less expensive to buy Turbo Tax at a discount store as it is on line?
What's great about it: simple to use
What's not so great: had to upgrade to get everything needed to do tax return

Overall I'm please with the turbo tax program, however I do have concerns over the cost and things I've been reading about the charges. I have be using the Premier version, but wondering if I can use a cheaper version. I do have mutual funds and I hold a mortgage on business property I've sold in previous years.

I have reported this in the past, but it still is a problem. My Non-Qualified Stock Options are entered as income and taxes taken out on my W-2. When I follow TurboTax's instructions for entry of this information, I get taxed again by the program. I have to manually over-ride the entry to show as a Loss due to the fees for the transaction. This has always been an issue with TurboTax. It could be fixed with one additional question - Was this transaction included in your W-2 Earnings?
What's great about it: The ease of switching between Interview questions and Forms has really improved over the years.
What's not so great: Non-Qualified Stock Option entry still requires over-ride.

Good experience with customer service!!

I had to call customer service twice this tax season due to connection issues. I called early on a Saturday AM and was able to get through on the phone in no time. Both reps helped me, first with upgrading to Premier and second with completing my payment for state filing. Thanks to your help we are done with our taxes!!
What's great about it: TurboTax is still so easy to use
What's not so great: I had to upgrade to Premier this year...but at least it was free!!

I really enjoy using Turbo Tax. It is easy to use and understand and help me get the best possible refund. I have used it for many years and would recommend it to others.

Easy to use

Been skeptical about using tax software for a long time because they were prone to errors and bugs with bad explanations and couldn't be solved. But TT has done a great job of making it easier and faster. Would definitely recommend.
What's great about it: Very nice walkthrough, easy filing
What's not so great: Could've explained the carryover section a bit better
