TurboTax Deluxe vs. Premier Content Change

I have used TurboTax Deluxe for more than 20 years. I would expect that a large number of TurboTax Deluxe users like me have come to rely upon the convenience of using the "Maximize your deductions" and Schedule D "Investment Income" features to prepare their Income Tax returns from year to year, without the need for Schedule E rental property feature. What is the reason for no longer including the Investment Income feature in the TurboTax Deluxe edition, ... other than as a rational to raise the price?
Also, I would prefer that ItsDeductible be provided as a part of the software installable on an individual purchaser's computer, like it used to be. What security and information privacy protections are in place to protect, and ultimately to destroy the information that users must now put onto the ItsDeductable website to use this tool? Does it comply with EU privacy requirements?
What's great about it: Generally the user friendliness of TurboTax Deluxe contitues to improve.
What's not so great: Moving the Investment Income section from TurboTax Deluxe to Premier was a DISASTER!

There was a lot of negative talk about Turbo changing the forms but in the end Turbo Tax realize the change was a negative and has decided to go back to include the forms that was originally part of the Deluxe program. I will continue to use Turbo software.
What's great about it: Long time user the automatic transfer of basic information
What's not so great: Never a discount for being a loyal user. The state does not go step by step and will fill in all of the information.

Excellent and Dependable way to do your own taxes!

Turbotax is a reliable way to confidently do your own taxes! It has a flexible way to fill out forms based upon a question and answer format for those less confident in their knowledge of tax forms and rules, or more directly if you have a better understanding of the tax forms and procedures.

Very disappointed in the requirement to purchase Turbo Tax Premium for investments. Will probably not use Turbp Tax next year because of extra cost.
What's great about it: Good interface
What's not so great: Removing investments from Turbo Tax Deluxe and additional cost

Really good, but could skip some stuff

I used your program to file for my two kids. They were not eligible to file for the College Credit because their mother and I did.
My suggestion would be to ask: "Did your parents receive the college credit" or something like that.

Always reliable

I am a veteran tax preparer, at one time doing 30-40 returns per year by hand. Since retiring, I have used Turbo tax for a number of years, doing 2-3 returns for myself and family members. Changes in programming for 2014 returns was confusing. Previously "Deluxe" was sufficient for homeowner / itemized / investments. This year needed upgrade to "premier" which would have cost extra. Appreciate Turbo Tax correcting the problem(s) and upgrading without charge - but we should not have had to deal with it. The same program (deluxe) should take care of the same type of returns from year to year.
Like the ease of entering information; answering questions etc. Appreciate the accuracy of Turbo Tax and peace of mind when filing my return.
What's great about it: Reliable and easy to use.
What's not so great: Changes to programs used for years (deluxe)
