I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone looking for a simple and complete way to do their taxes...
What's great about it: Easy and simple to prepare refund..hit all of the deductions,e tc.

Imports good but 1099 confusing

Turbo tax greatly aids in filing paperwork.
Seeing last year data and especially automatically picking up last year information is a timer saver.
Import makes for easier and more accurate return.
I sold stock, so needed the 'premier' edition which was a new thing. It was free, but download did not work. I was doing taxes over weekend, then traveled, so lost entire week to file to call during PST biz hours.

What's great about it: Love the import, especially with financial institution of int-div; showing the prior year info triggered forms to find.
What's not so great: I sold stock and the automated free premier addition did not happen, so had to call during PST biz hours

Explain Code for Capital Gains

I found it very straight forward but when it came to checking my return you wanted a code for capital gains. Scottrade said there was no code. I could not file until I made up a code letter.
I did and I filed. I am a little worried but I think it is ok.
What's great about it: Liked Overall experience
What's not so great: I could not understand missing code when there was none.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I am 85+ years old and really appreciate how easy it is to file using Turbo Tax.; After using Turbo Tax for several years, I must say that it is accurate and extremely user friendly. I have rentals and oil/gas royalties. Turbo Tax doesn't miss a trick handling these items.. I highly recommend using the "Guide Me" feature for accomplishing all sections of the program. It is excellent insurance against forgetting something or making a mistake.
What's great about it: All you have to do is read and follow simple instructions.

Overall this is an excellent program with a lot of helpful features for searching and reviewing. I Particularly like the large icons on top of input pages so one can jump between areas or sections of the program.
What's great about it: Liked ease of use and navigation icons
What's not so great: Redundant questions - would like to see an easier way to make repetitive entries

Always reliable, simple, and thorough

I've used TurboTax for several years and never had a problem, or been audited. Returns have always been accepted by IRS and State processing points. I feel very secure using TurboTax.
What's great about it: Simple Guided inputs
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
