This is the first time I used turbo tax and it was fairly easy and somewhat self explanatory. Thanks for this program.
What's great about it: It was nice to get the opportunity to go thru the parts you needed.
What's not so great: When referencing the previous years tax return they need to reference the line number.

Excellent software program that I value at tax filing time. I like the import of pertinent statements from investments with automatic insert into the right file areas.
What's great about it: TurboTax is an excellent software to prepare taxes.
What's not so great: Some duplications of investments identified.

Why did you change your software from Turbo Tax Fed/State returns deluxe to premium? Purchased Deductions &homeowners deluxe and then had to download premium in order to use form 8949 for my stock transactions. Would like to purchase just one and have all forms in it. Getting older and don't like extra complications. Have a nice day, thanks A>Lohan

We have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years and this year's experience was the best yet. We had a very complex return for the first time this year and the Turbo Tax step-by-step process made the whole experience simple and easy. We had IRA rollovers, 1099-R forms for first time retirement, and Capital Gains and Turbo Tax handled it all with no problems whatsoever. Great service!
What's great about it: Great step-by-step process
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

GREATLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I have been a loyal Quicken & TurboTax user for many many years. I regularly use Quicken Deluxe to do my banking, pay my bills, & track my IRA / broker account. For some unknown reason I was FORCE to purchase the Premier version of TurboTax AFTER purchasing the basic tax software (I had always used the basic tax software because I do a simple stand deduction return). All this because I had a 1099-div statement. Well look out going forward - you just lost a life long customer.
What's great about it: Works with my Quicken & Easy to Use
What's not so great: This year I had to buy the Premier Version just because I has simple 1099-div

I previously used the Deluxe version which fulfilled my needs only to find out I now need the Premium version to do the same thing. This caused confusion that I didn't need.
What's great about it: fills out forms from data
What's not so great: Did not appreciate that premium version was required.
