EZ even with stocks

This year's program seemed a lot more detailed than 2013 in the questions asked. I trust TurboTax to properly calculate my tax filings, and I'm glad they finally made it 'right' with their customers by including the various schedules, D, E, F, etc. that they originally omitted, at no cost.

Why I will consider a different Tax software.

The transition from the Federal to the state return was not easily accomplished, I got cornered into an amended state return when I wanted to start the state return, from there it went to wrong. I will strongly consider a different source of Tax software.
What's great about it: You promptly fixed the error you created.
What's not so great: The State Taxes were difficult to review by printed document.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have used TurboTax for several years. When I worked in a foreign country it was excellent in using my foreign tax credit.
Now that I have retired it has proven its worth by helping us to maximize our deductions to insure a maximum refund.

The Pa state tax, when completed, goes into a loop and it keeps asking the same question "done with State Taxes?". when you click on continue the software conducts a review then takes you back to the question above. The only way out is to just click on "file my return" Very frustrating.
What's great about it: Federal tax easy
What's not so great: State tax gets caught in a loop when finished

Mission accomplished with some hiccups

Liked the auto transfer of 2013 data BUT, why do I have to manually get data from the last years return (calculating carry-overs) when Turbo Tax has that information from the auto-transfer? Difficulty entering withholding on the 1099-B form..it was not intuitive.
When I wanted a printed copy of my return, Turbo Tax said there were errors (even though the review came out clean) but it didn't tell me what they were or how to correct them.

What's not so great: Some problems with 1099 entries; unable to correct some errors.
