Had some difficulty with my Scheule k1 that I could not download and had to enter manually. Had some print problems and had to download the Adobe upgrade but that took care of it. Had to upgrade from Deluxe to Premier but will submit refund request.
The step by step covers things I would probably not have considered and you provide many tools and explanations that help get me through the whole tax experience each year. I love the convenience of working on my taxes at home and not having to accumulate everything for transport. It gives me a secure feeling that my returns are correct and we can get the best return.
What's great about it: download capability, easily understood questions, help
What's not so great: had to upgrade to premier after years of using deluxe

Good tax software, but not excellent.

The entire last section for Filing and Printing should be restructured to make it less confusing when doing combinations of eFile and mailing returns. It is confusing and not easy to see what you have done if you decide to eFile the Federal return, and then come back later to Mail the State return. Also it is confusing on the number of locations for printing or saving pdf files. As I say, the entire Filing and Printing section should be restructured to make separate sections for Federal and State files.
What's great about it: Good program for simple to moderately complex filings.
What's not so great: Filing steps are somewhat clunky if you want to eFile the Federal return and mail the State return.

Top Drawer Software

The 1st time through it is best to use step by step method. But once done, it is best to go to review of forms and worksheets to confirm results are correct. A confidence booster.
What's great about it: Excellent for Investments for importing and completing required schedules.
What's not so great: Have yet to find one. Could make State filing free.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Software worked very well. No surprises. It remembered completely what I had filed in 2013 and prompted for any changes.
What's great about it: simple, well explained
What's not so great: if you are testing different filing methods, getting back to the original was confusing

Most everything in TurboTax is straight forward, except the medical deductions. What is lacking is a clear understanding of the type of accounts. The explanations don't make the distinctions completely clear.
In my case I have a Retired Medical Account which was not covered. I had to call the insurance company and was told there were no tax implications requiring a 1099 for the draws I made. Since this account paid the submitted bills I did not claim medical expenses on my return.
What's great about it: I like the walk through feature.
What's not so great: Medical part is still confusing.

I did not like having to pay for the Premium Version, when I have always used the Deluxe Version for the past 15 years.
Didn't use at least 50% of the Premium Version.
Next year I will read more closely. I will switch to a different Program Maker if I have to buy the Premium Version or download the form direct from the IRS.
What's great about it: Everthing when smoothly
What's not so great: Costfor a simple return

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and each year seems to be better than the last. I have never been disappointed in the program. The way it walks me through every situation is amazing.
I like being able to e file my return, I will continue to use your product for many years.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate

I have used TurboTax for years, but sometimes find it is difficult to find help online to more complex tax issues.
I would definitely choose the download version if you have more unusual taxes.
What's great about it: good service
What's not so great: difficult to get answers when you have questions without calling
