Oil & Gas Rent Payments

Need to make rents on oil & gas property more user friendly to input much like royalty payments. Current way is not self explanatory or user friendly. Selecting help gives wrong advice.
What's great about it: Most everything.
What's not so great: Rent payments on gas & oil properties.

I continue to find the TurboTax team's year to year improvements the number one reason to keep using the product. Good Job.
What's great about it: This year's TurboTax product made it easier to see where some of the out of the way issues were.

I used Deluxe for a number of years and did not pay attention to the fact that the version for this year would no longer deal with investments, particularly downloading information for my investment advisors. I understand you have gotten complaints about this and I would like to add mine to the list. If you do not add investments back into Deluxe next year, make it more visible on your product.
What's great about it: I have used Turbo Tax for about 10 years because it walks me through my taxes.
What's not so great: Always used the Deluxe version but had to return and upgrade to Premier.

Error messages that are somehow cannot be resolved prevent me from e-filing.
What's great about it: ease of use especially for beginners

Quite simple to use. More likely to get a bigger refund than simply using Federal tax forms

I have been using TurboTax over 20 years. Other than this years initial debacle of changing the Deluxe without notifying users, I have been very pleased.

Taxpayer Friendly

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. Each year there are improvements. 2014 was no exception. I don't have a lot of complications, but have rental property. I don't know how would get through it without Turbo Tax. It gives me piece of mind.
What's great about it: Easy, thorough and gives piece of mind
What's not so great: Don't have any negatives

Import function broken?

For whatever reason, I could not get TTP to import 1099 info from USAA this year. I ended up typing it all in manually, but it was a shame since that is a big convenience feature and ensures I don't have an input error from the keyboard. Oh well, I know Intuit has had a tough year with the rebranding they did. Hopefully next year they clean it all up and it's back to being a flagship product. Otherwise I guess there will be shift in market share for tax prep software, which would be inconvenient.
What's great about it: still a generally good intuit product
What's not so great: would not import 1099 info from USAA
Pros: I had a baby, I moved, I bought or sold investments
