Bad year

I had to exchange and re download the programs as I got mixed up with the Deluxe and Premier issue. I then had to do it again due to the Indiana loop issue. Help page was not easy to find or follow. then at the end I could not print my returns, got a pdf preview which would not print. Had to go back to end of the program to print. Next year do a better job.
What's great about it: easy to enter info
What's not so great: Indiana loop, deluxe versus Premier problem

Easy

I have had rental property since I first started using Turbo Tax.
Now I had to download an additional program. Which I had to call into customer service in order to download to get a pass code.
I appreciate that they provided the program without a fee.
This should not have ever been an issue.
Do not change programs from the information that they have had in the past and do not increase prices.Rolla
What's great about it: Easy especially when you choose walk me through
What's not so great: downloading additional turbo tax

I've used this software for years, and overall it's worked well. I wish that the "EASY-STEP" and "FORMS" and "WORK-SHEETS" were more closely in "lock step" and that you could more easily jump back and forth. It seems that it used to be like that but seems less so now.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy and Reliable, as always

I began using MacInTax when it was first offered and have continued with TurboTax to this day. There were a few little bumps along the way as my tax status changed, but I always found success. The current version is easy to use and, as always, completely accurate. I have a few suggestions for improvement: (1) I like to revisit sections to affirm my previous entries so I would like to do that with my previous answers and check boxes shown; (2) I like to go to forms occasionally and then return to the point I left step-by-step; and (3) I like to see government instructions easily and I am a little unsure of quality when I query "the knowledge base".
What's great about it: Very easy to follow throughout the process
What's not so great: Going from Step-By-Step to Forms and back to same spot could be easier.

Not worth the new price

As a 12 year plus user this continues to be a great product but not worth the price by forcing me into the Premier product.

My issued 1099-DIV did not have "State" or "State Identification No.". Both fields were blank. SmartCheck insisted that I supply one. I tried to bypass this, and then found that I could not e-file without an entry. I chose "GA" and the filing was accepted. I guess that if the Payer can send me a statement with a blank field, TurboTax should accept the blank.
What's not so great: couldn't file without State ID for 1099-DIV
