2014 was by far my worst experience.

Went pretty well until I got to the state (CO) return. Then the steps were not clear and the review kept taking me in a circle and back to the same pages. I'm sure the problem was mostly mine -- I'm not real computer savvy -- but I spent a lot of time going in circles. The review showed I had errors but no clear guidance on what the error was or how to correct. i was very frustrated at the whole experience. I hope next year will be better.

What's great about it: The import of financial info
What's not so great: Step-by-step not very clear.

Great Help over Foreign Territory

Very much enjoyed the method of "step-by-step" guidance. Even the help section to reveal the need to upgrade the package was faster and more informative than any IRS Agent/Representative would have been. From Start to finish, I was completely done in less than two hours time (Allowing time for accuracy reviews).
What's great about it: First experience with Capital Gains as a result of Estate Settlement. Great instructions and access.
What's not so great: Should have been included with the Deluxe edition, as it is a common subject with families.

What's not so great: Had to update from Deluxe to Premier due to selling inherited house.

What's great about it: Having used for several years, it is easy to do another year. pREMIER VERSION KEEPS TRACK OF PREVIOUS YEARS DATA.

Waiting on Refund

Turbo Tax Premier Version hard to find in stores as they were sold out. Had to purchase additional version for investments online. Difficult transmitting return as Turbo Tax would not update. I had to download and update Turbo Tax 2014 manually. Very much hassle compared to prior years.
What's great about it: Love using Turbo Tax in Prior Years - First Year I had difficulty using Turbo Tax,
What's not so great: Turbo Tax new versions for 2014

What's up?

For the past several years I have been able to use TurboTax basic. No changes in my types of income or deductions and this year I thought that with the new versions I needed was Deluxe so upgraded to it. When I went to start using it I found out that I needed to upgrade further to Premier. Not a happy camper!

2014 Federal & State Tax Returns

Excellent software, except for the glitch in getting the NYS forms. Please fix this in the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use and very comprehensive - great software
What's not so great: NYS forms were excluded from the "Premier" version. I had to contact customer support to set a download from TT website
