Completed taxes

I would have given 5 stars except that Intuit changed the Deluxe version to not include schedule D. I did receive the free update, but what are they going to do next year? If deluxe does not include schedule D, I may be looking at a competitor for completing my taxes

I don't think the penalty of $50 shown at the bottom of my friend's return will affect her refund when we e-filed but it should not have printed out on the form. Is this a glitch in the program?
What's not so great: I e-filed a return for my friend who had a small refund. When we printed the return it showed a penalty on the bottom ?

hardcopy filing state

Because I owed state taxes, I was not about to pay to e-file them, so, when I got to that point, I answered that I would return to file my state return.
I found it confusing and difficult to get back to the point where I could continue the process to produce the hardcopies needed for my state return.
It kept wanting to take me thru the e-file process for federal which had already been done.
I eventually got it done, but it was far from clear how to do it.

TuboTax Deluxe

While TurboTax realized the mistake made and provided free upgrade to Premier, if they take this same position next year the product (Premier) will be overpriced to the competition.
What's great about it: simple to use
What's not so great: Did not contain same forms as in the past

state problems

Since I don't e-file my state, I always have trouble getting the program to add the bank routing number and account number to the state forms. It wouldn't be an issue if the program didn't automatically x out all the spaces where I could just write in the information myself.
The numbers should automatically transfer to the State Forms anyway. Just because someone isn't e-filing doesn't mean they don't want direct deposit for their refunds.

What's great about it: like the walk through option
What's not so great: getting bank account and routing numbers on state form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Detest having to purchase Premier to be able to report simple capital gains/losses for 2014. Previous years we were able to report capital gains./losses via Deluxe.
What's not so great: Forced to purchase Premier to handle simple captial gains/losses. Previously, Deluxe version allowed capital gains/loss

Good as usual

Please shrink the titles, borders, tabs, upgrade etc..... It takes up too much screen space and we really want to see as much of the input screen or resulting form as possible.
What's great about it: clear, easy, accurate.
What's not so great: forms screen has too much extra junk
Pros: I bought or sold investments
