Fast and easy

I have been using Turbo Tax for 25 years. It has gotten easier and easier every year. I love the step by step after I have entered info on my own first, so I can make sure I got everything in there. I love how it explains words, questions, phrases, etc if I don't understand what I should enter.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step or do it on your own

Few problems but very good

Federal Filing: problem with clarity on 2013 estimate versus actual tax carryover to 2014 versus a check refund correction made by the State in 2014. There was still a carryover.
State Filing: problem with mailing address, county and/or home address, county, school district. Didn't discover added home address line until switching from Step by Step to Forms.
I believe that was a big oversight on Intuit's part not to have a Step by Step for mailing address versus home address. The questions should be allotting for the possibility that the taxpayer could have mailing address in different County than home address' County.
Had to repeat coverage of both Fed and State returns then reviews for all errors to be found.
What's great about it: Zipped through the returns with Step by Step
What's not so great: Converting to forms found problems not asked in Step by Step

I think we should be allowed to file more than 5 return. There are 10 people in my family who have to file and we always split the cost of the program, but only 5 of us are allowed to take full advantage of the program.
What's great about it: I still love TurboTax, even with the changes
What's not so great: I don't like that I can only electronically file 5 returns.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I really enjoyed the experience this year. It seemed to go a lot smoother than previous years.
What's great about it: The flow was very smooth
What's not so great: The confusion over the Foreign Tax

Upgraded version, downgraded experience

Even though I said there was no miscellaneous income as there was the previous year, the program still took me through all of the forms and questions around expenses usually associated with generating miscellaneous income. And the worst part about it was I had to do this during the error review process....very stupid.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: The premier version is worse than last year's deluxe

2014ups&downs

I've used Turbo Tax for several years and have always been very satisfied, however the issues encountered this year with the after the fact notice of moving a number of tax schedules to Primier as well as charging extra for a single state return caused significant concern about how Turbo Tax is managed.
What's great about it: Processing/inputting the tax information was direct /easy.
What's not so great: Changes to the software after the fact was a great disappointment.
